Del-One First to Launch Prize-Linked Savings in Delaware (May 2017)
Delawareans who want to save money will have access to new rewards. Gov. John Carney signed a bill into law on May 2, allowing financial institutions to offer cash prizes to savers who make regular deposits into their accounts. Del-One will launch a prize-linked savings program throughout its 10 branches across the state. Savers will start out with a small deposit into a savings account; each time they add to it, their chances to win one of many cash prizes increases. With each deposit, account holders will be entered into the pool to win - likening it to buying a ticket for a raffle. As the number of deposits increases, so do the chances of winning. Del-One's prize-linked savings program will benefit Delaware residents, as all prizes will be awarded within the state of Delaware.
Cooperatives Working Together
Del-One FCU has partnered with Delaware Electric Co-Op to offer the benefit of Del-One products and services to each member of the cooperative. As a credit union, Del-One is focused on the community and creating a better financial life for their members. Delaware Electric Co-Op has graciously partnered with Del-One FCU to allow us to work with their members in achieving financial freedom. Senator Carper and Congresswoman Blunt-Rochester will join the cooperatives in celebrating this partnership at an event held at the newly renovated Del-One Milford branch, located at 100 Credit Union Way, from 11:30am to 1:30pm on Wednesday, April 19th.
Del-One FCU Supports Operation Taste of Home
Del-One donated $200 worth of Girl Scout cookies to support the Operation Taste of Home initiative. In addition to helping the local Girl Scouts, the donated cookies are divided between the military and local charities, including The Shepherd Place and the Salvation Army. Del-One is proud to support these organizations!
Del-One Foundation Raises and Donates over $47,00 in 2016! (December 2016)
The Del-One Foundation is a nonprofit corporation that raises funds for charitable purposes to benefit the residents of Delaware. A Board of volunteers chooses charities to sponsor each year, based on suggestions from employees of Del-One Federal Credit Union. The staff, members, families and friends of Del-One FCU participate in various fundraising activities throughout the year to raise funds and awareness for the chosen charities. Several charity walks were sponsored in 2016, including the Shamrock Scramble 5K to benefit Kay's Kamp, and a clothing drive was held at all branches to benefit Clothing Our Kids, from which over 15 bags of children's clothing was collected. In 2016, over $47,000 was raised and donated through candy sales, membership dues, employees "jeans days", painting events, and the 5th annual charity golf tournament. As Delaware's Premier Credit Union, Del-One FCU is always focused on the community and searching for ways to give back, and the efforts of the Del-One Foundation are an extension of this constant focus.
