“Community Day at Del-One!”

On Monday, October 10th, 2022, Del-One Federal Credit Union celebrated its’ first annual Community Day!  On this day, over 170 teammates donated approximately 1300 hours of their time, talent, skills, and muscle to fourteen different organizations throughout the state of Delaware.  These organizations included: Kent County Code Purple, Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity, Brandywine Valley SPCA in all 3 counties, Modern Maturity Center in Dover, Mamie Warren Senior Center in Smyrna, Shepherd Place in Dover, Sunday Breakfast Mission in Wilmington, Food Banks of Delaware in Newark and Milford, Rose Hill Community Center in New Castle, Shepherd’s Office in Georgetown, and Sussex County Habitat for Humanity.

Del-One teammates spent their day at these organizations assisting with everything from cleaning, organizing, painting, building and so much more.  Teammates shared they loved being able to connect with the community, and the experiences were both humbling and invigorating. President/CEO Ron Baron stated, “I am proud of all the Del-One teammates for making our first annual Community Day a success!  The organizations were very appreciative, and the teammates have expressed how fulfilling this day was to them.  Del-One exists to enrich the lives of our members and our community and giving back to those we serve is how we remain focused on that mission.  We look forward to making Del-One Community Day a yearly tradition!”
