Del-One Federal Credit Union is proud to be the first credit union in Delaware to receive the Juntos Avanzamos designation. This designation, which is granted to credit unions committed to serving and empowering Hispanic and immigrant consumers, was recognized by several political figures.
City of Dover Mayor Robin Christiansen attended the proclamation ceremony on March 28th, 2024 at Del-One’s Corporate location in Dover. Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester was not able to attend the event but sent a congratulatory letter to Del-One President & CEO Dan McCarthy, which stated “Delaware’s communities are home to many cultures, and it is that diversity that makes us who we are.”.
New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer, who also attended the ceremony, stated this designation “goes to the heart of who we are, as Americans and Delawarians”. He also presented a proclamation to Del-One which includes, “the principles of Juntos Avanzamos, which translates to ‘Together we Advance’, align with Del-One Federal Credit Union’s values of inclusivity, cultural competence, and respect for all members, regardless of immigration status.” Mr. Meyer then proclaimed March 28, 2024 as Del-One Federal Credit Union Day in New Castle County, and expressed gratitude for Del-One’s “remarkable commitment to serving and empowering the Hispanic community.”
President & CEO Dan McCarthy stated, “this honor is a testament to both the hard work of our teammates and the real, tangible impact we are making in the Hispanic community. We are beyond proud of this recognition and believe me, we are just getting started!”
