“Del-One’s Annual Meeting Brings in Record Numbers”

Close to 500 attendees filled the banquet room at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover for Del-One’s Annual Meeting on Tuesday, May 19th. Guests heard from various speakers about the credit union’s financial position and accomplishments in 2025, followed by a delicious meal and door prize drawings. Board Directors elected included Diana Farrell, William (Bill) Pfaffenhauser, and Gerard (Jerry) McNesby. Del-One is truly grateful for the wisdom, guidance and dedication of the incredible volunteers who generously share their time and knowledge by serving on the Board of Directors and on various committees.

Board Chair Steve Smith, President & CEO Dan McCarthy, and the Executive Team provided updates on the credit union’s performance and key achievements. The highlight of 2025 was the start of the merger process to acquire Louviers Federal Credit Union, adding many new teammates, 4 new branches in New Castle County, and increasing membership totals to over 100,000.  Additional notable achievements were the introduction of new business banking products, the funding of $190 million in loans, and the honor of winning the Top Workplace award for the 4th year in a row. CEO McCarthy stated, “Being the largest credit union in the state and the various accomplishments means little if we aren’t supporting the member right in front of us and the teammate by our side. We value your feedback and will continuously strive to be the easiest place to work and do business.”

Board Chair Emeritus Nancy Shevock presented former Board member, current Supervisory and Insurance Committee member, and Del-One advocate Bill Hufnal as the 7th annual recipient of the R. Bryce “Breezy” Brown Service Award. This award is presented annually to someone in the organization who has demonstrated the same important values instilled by the late Breezy Brown, a former Board member whose loyalty, dedication and service to the credit union community left a lasting impact.

Also during the annual meeting, teammates of Del-One were recognized for years of service and accomplishments. The Teammate of the Year award was presented to Training and Development Specialist Victoria “Tori” Coverdale, the Accounting Department won Department of the Year, and the Lewes and Milford branches won branches of the year.
