In late August, a confirmed EF-1 tornado ripped through Dover and severely damaged the Dover Little League fields at Schutte Park. Over 100mph winds from this storm left destruction including damage to fencing, light poles, scoreboards, and roofs of dugouts. For generations of local families, these fields have been more than just a place to play baseball. They are where children learn teamwork and confidence, and where friendships are formed. The damage left an impact on countless players, coaches, volunteers and families who call Dover Little League home.
In a partnership with VISA, Del-One donated $3,300 as part of a community reinvestment initiative. President and CEO Dan McCarthy stated, “The devastation caused by the tornado was felt across the entire community, and we know how much this Little League field means to local families.
